Do I need a certificate to apply?
A certificate helps, but the trade test decides. Bring whatever papers you have; where a certificate cannot be verified we say so rather than letting an employer find out later.
What does the trade test involve?
Practical welding to the employer's procedure, usually at a test centre we arrange. Some employers witness it in person, others review it online. You are told the result either way.
What do welders earn in the Gulf?
It depends on the test level, the destination and the employer. 6G pipe welders earn considerably more than general welders. We give you the actual figure for each vacancy, in writing, before you accept.
How long does the process take?
Usually six to ten weeks from the test to the flight, driven by visa processing rather than by finding the vacancy. You get a realistic date at the start.
What documents do I need?
A valid passport, your welding certificates and test records, and your experience letters. We list everything you need, the order to obtain it, and what each step costs before you begin.
